TWO-PERSON ROUTINE
The two-person routine (san shou, "dispersing hands") is composed
of two matching sides that are choreographed to be practiced in duet
fashion. They are first learned as a solo form, then as a duet. Each side
is comprised of 44 defensive and offensive techniques. The realistic
martial application require practitioners to embody Taiji's highest
principles. This duet is rarely seen, even inside China.
TAIJI SWORD
The traditional Yang style Taiji sword consists of 54 postures and is
practiced a little faster than the solo Long Routine. The movements
should embody the same feeling as the Long Routine: relaxed, light,
smooth, agile, and balanced with precise application.
CHEN STYLE: At present, this style is not being taught.
